WNBA Bet Predictions - June 6, 2023
Day 2 of tracking each and every spread/total... Current Record: 2-5-1.
One of the first lessons in betting on sports, not every day goes your way. Thankfully, it’s all about the long game as we’re looking for a win percentage around 60% by the end of the season. After a first day of multiple near misses—including a tie—I’m back with a fresh outlook and better intel on what each team has to offer.
What I will say about today’s games is that I’m a very big fan of how the lines look. There’s a few chances to double up, meaning a two-or-three-game parlay might present itself.
*As always, these views are mine and mine alone.*
Las Vegas Aces (6-0) @ Connecticut Sun (6-1)
Line: Las Vegas -5.5
O/U: 167.0
I’m going to go on the record of calling this the “exposure game.” What do I mean by that? It’s simple. The Connecticut Sun might be 5-1, but its wins come against teams with a combined 12-18 record. Now, the undefeated record of Las Vegas doesn’t look much better considering its prior opponents have a combined record of 6-17. With that said, Connecticut’s +2.9-point differential pales in comparison to the Aces +18.0. And no, that’s not a typo.
The Sun will certainly put pressure on Las Vegas in terms of getting to the free-throw line—which will only lead to more scoring—but the Aces have multiple threats to score at all three levels of the floor. I wouldn’t be surprised by a high scoring game where Vegas pulls away early in the second half.
Pick: Las Vegas -5.5
Pick: Over 167.0
